Fundraising Project – Blandinsville IL

Roofing projectFor those of you in Illinois who want to turn your volunteer labor into much needed funds for a family in need, we have one remaining roof to re-shingle this year. You can help a young family that was affected by the deadly tornado in Oklahoma without even leaving the comforts of your home state! If you’ve not yet participated in one of these projects, I’d encourage you to clear your calender Thursday, August 29th and Friday the 30th. Here’s how it works:

The owner of the home being reshingled donates the would-be labor costs to OFOP’s winter re-building project (100% of their donation is applied to purchase building materials this December in Oklahoma). Friends of OFOP (many of whom are skilled roofers) will then volunteer their time to assist with the re-roofing. These jobsites are more than just a place to work; they are place to serve a local OFOP contributor, commune with other brothers and sisters in faith, and celebrate the redeeming nature of Jesus Christ.

Join us at 248 Hillrcrest Road in Blandinville IL beginning Thursday, August 29th at 8am. We need all skill levels–from debris picker-uppers to shinglers. Call (309) 299-7926 for details. Hope to see you then!

God bless!!
