BEAVER CROSSING VOLUNTEER INFO

CONSTRUCTION: The majority of volunteers will begin to arrive for sheeting and roofing Monday, December 1st. Interior construction will likely begin by Wednesday or Thursday  (Dec. 4th or 5th). For those planning a one or two day work-trip the weekend of the 6th and 7th, please be aware that the drywall mudders (hired professionals) will be in the house from Saturday through late Sunday evening. No volunteers will have access to the house for that two-day period (Saturday and Sunday). The build is projected to conclude Saturday, December 13th (pending weather delays). The exact time of the dedication on December 13th, will later be determined. The job-site address is: 711 Oak St., Beaver Crossing, Nebraska.

HOUSING: Accommodations for volunteers  will be at the Hillcrest Evangelical Free Church in Seward Nebraska (2433 Progressive Ave. Seward, NE.). This is a beautiful and spacious facility, but there are no beds, so sleeping pads or air mattresses are highly recommended for your comfort.

FOOD: Lunch will be provided in Beaver Crossing each day by local volunteers. Nightly meals will be served by OFOP volunteers in Seward each evening.

VOLUNTEER COSTS: It is our goal, at ONE FAMILY ONE PURPOSE, to keep the volunteer costs to a minimum. No one will be turned away for a lack of financial resources. A  free-will offering is recommended for food and accommodations (to be left for the church), but not required.

HOW TO SIGN UP: We encourage you to let us know if you plan on attending. In order to feed and prepare for large numbers of volunteers, we’d like to know when, and how long, you’ll be joining us. You can click here to let us know by sending us a message, or you can call (309)219-6367 and leave a voice message telling us the number of volunteers that are in your party, and the dates you’ll be traveling to and from.

HOPE TO SEE YOU IN BEAVER CROSSING!
